The ITH gives interested software developers the possibility to connect their own software with IHE and ELGA (planned Austrian electronic health record) through using sense® adaptors. Our adaptors contain special interfaces based on SOAP web services which can be connected with every software regardless of location in a fast and uncomplicated way. In addition to that well documented so called Connectivity Packages for Java and .NET are offered. These packages can be integrated into the software which is done through using the source code (shows an exemplary implementation). 

Using sense® adaptors the software completely fulfills the requirements of the relevant IHE Integration Profiles for a standardized cross-institutional communication. Sense® products are regularly tested on Connectathons to ensure compliance with the needed IHE Integration Profiles. After connecting the software with sense® adaptors the system is compatible with the following IHE actors:

• XDS-I Imaging Document Source and Consumer
• PIX Supplier and Consumer
• PDQ Patient Demographics Consumer
• XUA X-Service User
• ATNA Audit Record Creator and Secure Node
• CT Client

A technology partnership with ITH icoserve allows an unrestricted usage of the connectivity packages and grants support during the connection of the adaptors and the software. In addition to that it is possible to use the IHE integration statement form ITH icoserve for the components using sense® adaptors.
