IHE improves

the exchangeability of subsystems and thus promotes the competition between manufacturers (vendor independence), which has a positive effect on the functionality and user friendliness of an information system.

IHE means

a guaranteed future and investment protection and is our explicite recommendation for systems that have to be newly acquired.

The Medium-term Necessity

Considerable increase of intensity and importance of communication. More and more persons contribute to a single treatment process due to increasing specialization. For this reason, information must be passed on in an efficient manner.

Improved referrer relationship

The long-term customer retention can be considerably improved by the extension of existing services, by new services (appointment search and appointment scheduling directly via the referrer; improved supply of knowledge and know-how, provision of decision support) and by new patient services for referrers (baseline screenings before surgery at the referring physician) can considerably improve the long-term ‘customer’ retention.
